Call for Post Deadline Posters And Participation

The present photometric system was adopted 75 years ago by the CIE at its Session in Geneva. The CIE Symposium will commemorate this anniversary in Budapest, Hungary, between 30 September – 2 October, 1999.

Invited papers will be read on the following subjects

  1. Historic overview,
  2. CIE photometry and vision research
  3. The base unit of the CIE system of photometry and the Metre Convention
  4. Lamp industry view on photometry
  5. The usefulness of photometry in indoor and outdoor lighting
  6. Challenges for the next 75 years: Incorporating quality criteria into photometry

The International Advisory Board opened up a further group of contributions to enable the presentation of most recent research results: Post Deadline Poster Session. You are well come to send an Abstract of your intended Poster to the Organising Committee Chair: Dr. János Schanda, preferably by e-mail: schanda@ella.hu , hard-copy submission should be sent to the CIE Central Bureau (please do not fax your Abstract!).

Submission deadline for Post Deadline Posters: 1999-09-10,

notification of acceptance will be by 1999-09-20.

Registration:

Registration fee: US$ 200,-.
